SFPI Receives Technology Upgrade from DOST SETUP

Sangkutsa Food Products Inc, makers of Pik-a-Pikel® Pickled Mango, was awarded a grant from Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to improve its production capabilities. The award was made possible through their SETUP (Small Enterprise Technology Upgrade Program) program which aims to provide appropriate technology, equipment and technical assistance to MSMEs in order to improve the company’s production efficiency, product quality and competitiveness.

Secretary Fortunato “boy” dela Pena and Director Jose Patalinjug III, with the rest of the DOST-NCR team, led the 2017 road show and we were fortunate enough to be included. Secretary dela Pena and Director Patalinjug went around our facility and led the inspection of the acquired machines and equipment through the SETUP project. Secretary dela Pena and Director Patalinjug also tried our very own Pik-a-Pikel® Pickled Mango and seemed to have enjoyed every bite!
